What is Kiwanis?
Kiwanis is a worldwide service organization of individuals who want to improve their communities one child and one community at a time. More than 8,500 Kiwanis clubs in more than 80 countries perform service beyond the capability of the individual by teaming together to provide assistance to youth, the aging, and the needy. The primary focus “Serving the Children of the World.” Each community has different needs, and Kiwanis empowers members to pursue creative ways to serve the needs of children, such as fighting hunger, improving literacy and offering guidance.

Kiwanis Poudre Golden K
The Kiwanis PGK Club of Fort Collins was chartered in 1988 with the goal of creating a group of energetic retirees who could serve the needs of children in Fort Collins and northern Colorado. The club is made up of life experienced members who come from various business, civic, and professional backgrounds with a unified goal of supporting our community and lifting up its children.

Club Experience
Kiwanis PGK supports its members with lifetime learning through weekly programs and active involvement in Fort Collins and northern Colorado while maintaining a sense of friendship and family. Our Motto: Service. Friendship. Learning. Leadership.

PGK Signature Project for 2025-2026
In 2025-26, the Kiwanis Club of the Poudre Golden K (PGK) donated $6,000 to the McBackpack program, which provides food to children experiencing food insecurity. In addition, PGK members volunteered to help package and deliver more than 400 bags of the food weekly to schools throughout the Poudre School District in Fort Collins, Colorado. A
t the end of the school year, PGK donated an additional $1,500 to purchase dental hygiene supplies to include with the bags of food.
